From Iconic 4x4 Adventures to Iconic Cycling experiences, adventure is at the heart of every tour.
All guests joining tours that cross into Lesotho must carry the following documents:
• Valid passport (and visa if required – please check in advance with us)
• Unabridged birth certificate for children under 18
• Parental consent affidavit if a minor is travelling with only one parent or a legal guardian
If it is uncertain whether or not we will reach the top of Sani Pass / the tour's end destination we will offer you the following options:
1) Proceed with the tour regardless of how far we can travel, based on safety and snow conditions. No refund will be provided in this case.
2)Reschedule the tour to a later date. No refund will be issued.
* If the Pass is closed by border officials before the tour departure time, guests may choose either a 90% refund (10% charged for administrative and online booking fees) or a rescheduled tour date.
If a guest joins a tour and is denied entry into Lesotho due to not having the required documentation they will need to wait at the South African Border Post either until the tour returns, or wait for an available transfer at their own expense. No refund will be provided.
Our cycling, combo tours operate rain or shine – adventure awaits in all conditions! Please ensure guests come prepared for the weather, as we do not offer refunds for unfavorable forecasts. Rest assured, our guests' safety and comfort are our top priority: every tour includes a dedicated support vehicle, available at any time to jump in if guests need a break from the elements. Should the pass be closed by border officials due to weather related concerns the refund policy above will of course apply.
ENTRANCE AND BOOKING POLICY
The Highest Pub in Africa, located at Sani Mountain Escape Lodge, operates under a strict online booking system with limited daily capacity
• Daily capacity is capped at a maximum of 40 visitors per day and dates often sell out quickly, particularly during peak seasons.
• All visits require a confirmed online booking in advance.
• Bookings are done by us via their online calendar which currently only opens on the last day of every month for the month ahead.
• We actively monitor availability and makes every effort to secure bookings as soon as the calendar opens, however availability cannot be guaranteed.
In the event that we are unable to secure a booking at the Highest Pub in Africa, the overall tour experience remains just as rewarding. We offer the following well-considered alternatives:
• Enjoy lunch at a lovely local Basotho restaurant, providing a cultural experience in a relaxed setting
• Guests are also welcome to bring their own snacks and refreshments to enjoy along the route or at a scenic stop
Our guides will always ensure that the day is thoughtfully paced and that guests still enjoy the very best of the Sani Pass and Lesotho, regardless of pub availability.
